What is php-snmp
The php-snmp package contains a dynamic shared object that will add support for querying SNMP devices to PHP. PHP is an HTML-embeddable scripting language. If you need SNMP support for PHP applications, you will need to install this package and the php package.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install php-snmp
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install php-snmp.

Update yum database with yum
