How To Install php-radius on Kali Linux

What is php-radius
php-radius is:
This package is based on the libradius of FreeBSD, with some modifications and extensions. This PECL provides full support for RADIUS authentication (RFC 2865) and RADIUS accounting (RFC 2866), works on Unix and on Windows. Its an easy way to authenticate your users against the user-database of your OS (for example against Windows Active-Directory via IAS).
There are three methods to install php-radius
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install php-radius Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install php-radius
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install php-radius

Update apt database with apt

sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install php-radius
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install php-radius
Install php-radius Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install php-radius
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install php-radius
How To Uninstall php-radius on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the php-radius
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove php-radius
Uninstall php-radius And Its Dependencies
To uninstall php-radius
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove php-radius
Remove php-radius Configurations and Data
To remove php-radius
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge php-radius
Remove php-radius configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
