What is php-pirum-Pirum
Pirum is a simple and nice looking PEAR channel server manager that lets you setup PEAR channel servers in a matter of minutes. Pirum is best suited when you want to create small PEAR channels for a few packages written by a few developers. Pirum consists of just one file PHP. There are no external dependencies, no need for a database, and nothing needs to be installed or configured. As of Pirum 1.1, a composer repository is generated as well.
We can use yum or dnf to install php-pirum-Pirum on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install php-pirum-Pirum.
Install php-pirum-Pirum on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install php-pirum-Pirum using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install php-pirum-Pirum
Install php-pirum-Pirum on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install php-pirum-Pirum using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install php-pirum-Pirum
How To Uninstall php-pirum-Pirum on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the php-pirum-Pirum package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove php-pirum-Pirum
