What is php-pinba

php-pinba is:

Pinba is a statistics server for PHP using MySQL as a read-only interface.

It accumulates and processes data sent over UDP by multiple PHP processes and displays statistics in a nice human-readable form of simple “reports”, also providing a read-only interface to the raw data to enable generation of more sophisticated reports.

With the Pinba extension, users can also measure particular parts of the code using timers with arbitrary tags.

This package contains a PHP module with the ability to send statistics to a Pinba server.

There are three methods to install php-pinba on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install php-pinba Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install php-pinba using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install php-pinba

Install php-pinba Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install php-pinba using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install php-pinba

Install php-pinba Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install php-pinba using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install php-pinba
