What is php-pear-phing
PHing Is Not GNU make; it’s a project build system based on Apache Ant. You can do anything with it that you could do with a traditional build system like GNU make, and its use of simple XML build files and extensible PHP “task” classes make it an easy-to-use and highly flexible build framework. Features include file transformations (e.g. token replacement, XSLT transformation, Smarty template transformations), file system operations, interactive build support, SQL execution, CVS operations, tools for creating PEAR packages, and much more.
We can use yum or dnf to install php-pear-phing on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install php-pear-phing.
Install php-pear-phing on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install php-pear-phing using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install php-pear-phing
Install php-pear-phing on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install php-pear-phing using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install php-pear-phing
How To Uninstall php-pear-phing on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the php-pear-phing package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove php-pear-phing
