How To Install php-net-ldap2 on Debian 12

What is php-net-ldap2
php-net-ldap2 is:
Net_LDAP2 is the successor of Net_LDAP which is a clone of Perls Net::LDAP object interface to directory servers. It does contain most of Net::LDAPs features but has some own too. With Net_LDAP2 you have:
- A simple object-oriented interface to connections, searches entries and filters.
- Support for TLS and LDAP v3.
- Simple modification, deletion and creation of LDAP entries.
- Support for schema handling.
Net_LDAP2 layers itself on top of PHP’s existing ldap extensions.
There are three methods to install php-net-ldap2 on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install php-net-ldap2 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install php-net-ldap2 using apt-get by running the following command:

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install php-net-ldap2 using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install php-net-ldap2 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install php-net-ldap2
How To Uninstall php-net-ldap2 on Debian 12
