How To Install pgtap-doc on Ubuntu 18.04

What is pgtap-doc
pgtap-doc is:
pgTAP is a suite of database functions that make it easy to write TAP-emitting unit tests in psql scripts suitable for harvesting, analysis, and reporting by a TAP harness, such as those used in Perl and PHP applications.
TAP is the Test Anything Protocol (http://testanything.org/).
This package contains the documentation for pgTAP.
There are three methods to install pgtap-doc on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pgtap-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pgtap-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pgtap-doc
Install pgtap-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install pgtap-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pgtap-doc
Install pgtap-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install pgtap-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pgtap-doc
How To Uninstall pgtap-doc on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the pgtap-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pgtap-doc
Uninstall pgtap-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pgtap-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pgtap-doc
Remove pgtap-doc Configurations and Data
To remove pgtap-doc configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pgtap-doc
Remove pgtap-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove pgtap-doc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge pgtap-doc
