How To Install perl-tk on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install perl-tk on Kali Linux.
What is perl-tk
perl-tk is:
Perl/Tk (also known as pTk or ptk) is a collection of modules and code that attempts to wed the easily configured Tk widget toolkit to the powerful lexigraphic, dynamic memory, I/O, and object-oriented capabilities of Perl 5. In other words, it is an interpreted scripting language for making widgets and programs with Graphical User Interfaces (GUI).
A good place to get started is by running the “widget” demo that’s installed with this package.
There are three methods to install perl-tk on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install perl-tk Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install perl-tk using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install perl-tkInstall perl-tk Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install perl-tk using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install perl-tkInstall perl-tk Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install perl-tk using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install perl-tkHow To Uninstall perl-tk on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the perl-tk package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove perl-tkUninstall perl-tk And Its Dependencies
To uninstall perl-tk and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove perl-tkRemove perl-tk Configurations and Data
To remove perl-tk configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge perl-tkRemove perl-tk configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove perl-tk configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge perl-tkDependencies
