What is perl-aliased
aliased is simple in concept but is a rather handy module. It loads the class you specify and exports into your namespace a subroutine that returns the class name. You can explicitly alias the class to another name or, if you prefer, you can do so implicitly. In the latter case, the name of the subroutine is the last part of the class name.
We can use yum or dnf to install perl-aliased on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-aliased.
Install perl-aliased on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-aliased using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install perl-aliased
Install perl-aliased on CentOS 8 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-aliased using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install perl-aliased
How To Uninstall perl-aliased on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the perl-aliased package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-aliased
