What is perl-Tie-IxHash

This Perl module implements Perl hashes that preserve the order in which the hash elements were added. The order is not affected when values corresponding to existing keys in the IxHash are changed. The elements can also be set to any arbitrary supplied order. The familiar perl array operations can also be performed on the IxHash.

We can use yum or dnf to install perl-Tie-IxHash on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Tie-IxHash.

Install perl-Tie-IxHash on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install perl-Tie-IxHash using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install perl-Tie-IxHash

Install perl-Tie-IxHash on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

How To Uninstall perl-Tie-IxHash on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the perl-Tie-IxHash package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove perl-Tie-IxHash
