What is perl-Test-Prereq

The prereq_ok() function examines the modules it finds in blib/lib/, blib/script, and the test files it finds in t/ (and test.pl). It figures out which modules they use, skips the modules that are in the Perl core, and compares the remaining list of modules to those in the PREREQ_PM section of Makefile.PL.

We can use yum or dnf to install perl-Test-Prereq on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Test-Prereq.

Install perl-Test-Prereq on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install perl-Test-Prereq using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install perl-Test-Prereq

Install perl-Test-Prereq on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install perl-Test-Prereq using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install perl-Test-Prereq

How To Uninstall perl-Test-Prereq on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the perl-Test-Prereq package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove perl-Test-Prereq
