How To Install perl-Test-MockTime on CentOS 7

In this tutorial we learn how to install perl-Test-MockTime on CentOS 7.
What is perl-Test-MockTime
This module was created to enable test suites to test code at specific points in time. Specifically it overrides localtime, gmtime and time at compile time and then relies on the user supplying a mock time via set_relative_time, set_absolute_time or set_fixed_time to alter future calls to gmtime,time or localtime.
We can use yum or dnf to install perl-Test-MockTime on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Test-MockTime.
Install perl-Test-MockTime on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Test-MockTime using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install perl-Test-MockTime
Install perl-Test-MockTime on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Test-MockTime using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install perl-Test-MockTime
How To Uninstall perl-Test-MockTime on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the perl-Test-MockTime package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-Test-MockTime
