How To Install perl-Sys-Mmap on AlmaLinux 8

What is perl-Sys-Mmap
The Mmap module lets you use mmap to map in a file as a perl variable rather than reading the file into dynamically allocated memory. Multiple programs may map the same file into memory, and immediately see changes by each other. Memory may be allocated not attached to a file, and shared with sub-processes.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install perl-Sys-Mmap
on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Sys-Mmap.
Install perl-Sys-Mmap on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Sys-Mmap
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install perl-Sys-Mmap
Install perl-Sys-Mmap on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Sys-Mmap
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install perl-Sys-Mmap
How To Uninstall perl-Sys-Mmap on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the perl-Sys-Mmap
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-Sys-Mmap
