What is perl-Object-ID

This is a unique identifier for any object, regardless of its type, structure or contents. Its features are * Works on ANY object of any type * Does not modify the object in any way * Does not change with the object’s contents * Is O(1) to calculate (i.e. doesn’t matter how big the object is) * The id is unique for the life of the process * The id is always a true value

We can use yum or dnf to install perl-Object-ID on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Object-ID.

Install perl-Object-ID on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install perl-Object-ID using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install perl-Object-ID

Install perl-Object-ID on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install perl-Object-ID using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install perl-Object-ID

How To Uninstall perl-Object-ID on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the perl-Object-ID package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove perl-Object-ID
