on AlmaLinux 8.
What is perl-Net-SNMP
The Net Simple Network Management Protocol. Perl applications can use the module to retrieve or update information on a remote host using the SNMP protocol. The module supports SNMP version-1, SNMP version-2c (Community-Based SNMPv2), and SNMP version-3. The Net assumes that the user has a basic understanding of the Simple Network Management Protocol and related network management concepts.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install perl-Net-SNMP
on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Net-SNMP.
Install perl-Net-SNMP on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Net-SNMP
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install perl-Net-SNMP
Install perl-Net-SNMP on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Net-SNMP
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install perl-Net-SNMP
How To Uninstall perl-Net-SNMP on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the perl-Net-SNMP
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-Net-SNMP
