What is perl-Mojolicious

Back in the early days of the web there was this wonderful Perl library called CGI, many people only learned Perl because of it. It was simple enough to get started without knowing much about the language and powerful enough to keep you going, learning by doing was much fun. While most of the techniques used are outdated now, the idea behind it is not. Mojolicious is a new attempt at implementing this idea using state of the art technology.

We can use yum or dnf to install perl-Mojolicious on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Mojolicious.

Install perl-Mojolicious on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install perl-Mojolicious using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install perl-Mojolicious

Install perl-Mojolicious on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install perl-Mojolicious using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install perl-Mojolicious

How To Uninstall perl-Mojolicious on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the perl-Mojolicious package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove perl-Mojolicious
