How To Install perl-MIME-Types on Rocky Linux 8

What is perl-MIME-Types
MIME types are used in many applications, for instance as part of e-mail and HTTP traffic, to indicate the type of content that is transmitted. Sometimes detailed knowledge about a mime-type is need; however, this module only knows about the file-name extensions that relate to some file-type. It can also be used to produce the right format are not registered at IANA need to use ‘x-’ prefixes.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install perl-MIME-Types
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-MIME-Types.

Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install perl-MIME-Types
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install perl-MIME-Types
Install perl-MIME-Types on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install perl-MIME-Types
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install perl-MIME-Types
How To Uninstall perl-MIME-Types on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the perl-MIME-Types
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-MIME-Types
