How To Install perl-MIME-Types on CentOS 7

What is perl-MIME-Types
MIME types are used in MIME compliant lines, for instance as part of e-mail and HTTP traffic, to indicate the type of content which is transmitted. Sometimes real knowledge about a mime-type is need. This module maintains a set of MIME each describe one known mime type. There are many types defined by RFCs and vendors, so the list is long but not complete. We can use yum or dnf to install perl-MIME-Types on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-MIME-Types.
Install perl-MIME-Types on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-MIME-Types using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install perl-MIME-Types
Install perl-MIME-Types on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-MIME-Types using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install perl-MIME-Types
How To Uninstall perl-MIME-Types on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the perl-MIME-Types package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-MIME-Types
