How To Install perl-Locale-SubCountry on CentOS 7

What is perl-Locale-SubCountry
This module allows you to convert the full name for a countries administrative region to the code commonly used for postal addressing. The reverse look-up can also be done. Sub country codes are defined in “ISO 3166-2 representation of names of countries and their subdivisions”. Sub countries are termed as states in the US and Australia, provinces in Canada and counties in the UK and Ireland.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install perl-Locale-SubCountry
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Locale-SubCountry.
Install perl-Locale-SubCountry on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Locale-SubCountry
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install perl-Locale-SubCountry
Install perl-Locale-SubCountry on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Locale-SubCountry
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install perl-Locale-SubCountry
How To Uninstall perl-Locale-SubCountry on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the perl-Locale-SubCountry
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-Locale-SubCountry
