How To Install perl-Lingua-Stem-Snowball on CentOS 7

What is perl-Lingua-Stem-Snowball
Stemming reduces related words to a common root form – for instance, “horse”, “horses”, and “horsing” all become “hors”. Most commonly, stemming is deployed as part of a search application, allowing searches for a given term to match documents which contain other forms of that term. This module is very similar to Lingua Lingua module which provides a Perl interface to the C version of the Snowball stemmers.
We can use yum or dnf to install perl-Lingua-Stem-Snowball on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Lingua-Stem-Snowball.
Install perl-Lingua-Stem-Snowball on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Lingua-Stem-Snowball using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install perl-Lingua-Stem-Snowball
Install perl-Lingua-Stem-Snowball on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Lingua-Stem-Snowball using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install perl-Lingua-Stem-Snowball
How To Uninstall perl-Lingua-Stem-Snowball on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the perl-Lingua-Stem-Snowball package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-Lingua-Stem-Snowball
