How To Install perl-LWP-MediaTypes on CentOS 7

In this tutorial we learn how to install perl-LWP-MediaTypes on CentOS 7.
What is perl-LWP-MediaTypes
This module provides functions for handling media (also known as MIME) types and encodings. The mapping from file extensions to media types is defined by the media.types file. If the ~/.media.types file exists it is used instead. For backwards compatibility we will also look for ~/.mime.types.
We can use yum or dnf to install perl-LWP-MediaTypes on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-LWP-MediaTypes.
Install perl-LWP-MediaTypes on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-LWP-MediaTypes using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install perl-LWP-MediaTypes
Install perl-LWP-MediaTypes on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-LWP-MediaTypes using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install perl-LWP-MediaTypes
How To Uninstall perl-LWP-MediaTypes on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the perl-LWP-MediaTypes package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-LWP-MediaTypes
