What is perl-Importer
This Perl module acts as a layer between Exporter and modules which consume exports. It is feature-compatible with Exporter, plus some much needed extras. You can use this to import symbols from any exporter that follows Exporters specification. The exporter modules themselves do not need to use or inherit from the Exporter module, they just need to set @EXPORT and/or other variables.
We can use yum or dnf to install perl-Importer on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Importer.
Install perl-Importer on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Importer using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install perl-Importer
Install perl-Importer on CentOS 8 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Importer using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install perl-Importer
How To Uninstall perl-Importer on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the perl-Importer package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-Importer
