In this tutorial we learn how to install perl-Font-TTF on CentOS 7.

What is perl-Font-TTF

Perl module for TrueType font hacking. Supports reading, processing and writing of the following tables LTSH, OS/2, PCLT, bsln, cmap, cvt, fdsc, feat, fpgm, glyf, hdmx, head, hhea, hmtx, kern, loca, maxp, mort, name, post, prep, prop, vhea, vmtx and the reading and writing of all other table types. In short, you can do almost anything with a standard TrueType font with this module.

We can use yum or dnf to install perl-Font-TTF on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Font-TTF.

Install perl-Font-TTF on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install perl-Font-TTF using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install perl-Font-TTF

Install perl-Font-TTF on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install perl-Font-TTF using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install perl-Font-TTF

How To Uninstall perl-Font-TTF on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the perl-Font-TTF package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove perl-Font-TTF
