Perl 5.7.3 and later ships with an adequate set of Chinese encodings, including the commonly used CP950, CP936 (also known as GBK), Big5 (alias for Big5-Eten), Big5-HKSCS, EUC-CN, HZ, and ISO-IR-165. However, the numbers of Chinese encodings are staggering, and a complete coverage will easily increase the size of perl distribution by several megabytes; hence, this CPAN module tries to provide the rest of them. If you are using Perl 5.8 or later, Encode automatically load the extra encodings for you, so there’s no need to explicitly write use Encode
We can use yum or dnf to install perl-Encode-HanExtra on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Encode-HanExtra.
Install perl-Encode-HanExtra on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Encode-HanExtra using dnf by running the following command:

Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh

How To Uninstall perl-Encode-HanExtra on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the perl-Encode-HanExtra package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-Encode-HanExtra
