In this tutorial we learn how to install perl-Data-Binary
on AlmaLinux 8.
What is perl-Data-Binary
This simple module provides string equivalents to the -T / -B operators. Since these only work on file names and file handles, this module provides the same functions but on strings. Note that the actual implementation is currently different, basically because the -T / -B functions are in C/XS, and this module is written in pure Perl. For now, anyway.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install perl-Data-Binary
on AlmaLinux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Data-Binary.
Install perl-Data-Binary on AlmaLinux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Data-Binary
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install perl-Data-Binary
Install perl-Data-Binary on AlmaLinux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Data-Binary
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install perl-Data-Binary
How To Uninstall perl-Data-Binary on AlmaLinux 8
To uninstall only the perl-Data-Binary
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-Data-Binary
