What is perl-Crypt-ScryptKDF

Scrypt is a password-based key derivation function (like for example PBKDF2). Scrypt was designed to be “memory-hard” algorithm in order to make it expensive to perform large scale custom hardware attacks.

We can use yum or dnf to install perl-Crypt-ScryptKDF on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Crypt-ScryptKDF.

Install perl-Crypt-ScryptKDF on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

How To Uninstall perl-Crypt-ScryptKDF on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the perl-Crypt-ScryptKDF package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove perl-Crypt-ScryptKDF
