What is perl-Authen-Credential
This module offers an abstraction of a credential, i.e. something that can be used to authenticate. It allows the creation and manipulation of credentials. In particular, it defines a standard string representation (so that credentials can be given to external programs as command line options), a standard structured representation (so that credentials can be stored in structured configuration files or using JSON) and “preparators” that can transform credentials into ready-to-use data for well known targets.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install perl-Authen-Credential
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install perl-Authen-Credential.
Install perl-Authen-Credential on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Authen-Credential
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install perl-Authen-Credential
Install perl-Authen-Credential on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install perl-Authen-Credential
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install perl-Authen-Credential
How To Uninstall perl-Authen-Credential on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the perl-Authen-Credential
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove perl-Authen-Credential
