How To Install performous-tools on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install performous-tools on Kali Linux.
What is performous-tools
performous-tools is:
A karaoke, band and dancing game where one or more players perform a song and the game scores their performances. Supports songs in UltraStar, Frets on Fire and StepMania formats. Microphones and instruments from SingStar, Guitar Hero and Rock Band as well as some dance pads are autodetected.
This package includes some tools for converting original Singstar DVDs to the format used by Performous.
There are three methods to install performous-tools on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install performous-tools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install performous-tools using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install performous-toolsInstall performous-tools Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install performous-tools using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install performous-toolsInstall performous-tools Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install performous-tools using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the performous-tools package we can use the following command:
