How To Install pelican-doc on Ubuntu 18.04

Pelican is a static site generator, written in Python. It allows you to write your weblog entries directly with your editor of choice in reStructuredText or Markdown, and generates completely static output that is easy to host anywhere. Pelican includes a simple CLI tool to (re)generate the weblog and it is easy to interface with DVCSes and web hooks.

There are three methods to install pelican-doc on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pelican-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pelican-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pelican-doc

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install pelican-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pelican-doc
Install pelican-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install pelican-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pelican-doc
How To Uninstall pelican-doc on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the pelican-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pelican-doc

To uninstall pelican-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pelican-doc
Remove pelican-doc Configurations and Data
To remove pelican-doc configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pelican-doc
Remove pelican-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove pelican-doc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge pelican-doc
