How To Install pd-tclpd on Kali Linux

This library allows one to write externals for Pd using the Tcl language. It wraps the Pd API quite closely, and provides a small library of helper functions to be used for writing externals.

Using Tcl for writing objects in Pd has the advantage, the Tcl/Tk is already used as Pd’s GUI toolkit, so no additional dependencies are required.

There are three methods to install pd-tclpd on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install pd-tclpd Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install pd-tclpd using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install pd-tclpd

Install pd-tclpd Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install pd-tclpd using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install pd-tclpd

Install pd-tclpd Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install pd-tclpd using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install pd-tclpd

How To Uninstall pd-tclpd on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the pd-tclpd package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove pd-tclpd

Uninstall pd-tclpd And Its Dependencies

To uninstall pd-tclpd and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove pd-tclpd

Remove pd-tclpd Configurations and Data

To remove pd-tclpd configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge pd-tclpd

Remove pd-tclpd configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove pd-tclpd configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
