How To Install pd-slip on Ubuntu 18.04

What is pd-slip

This library implements the Serial Line Internet Protocol (SLIP), a simple protocol for encapsulating packets within a streaming transport protocol such as TCP/IP or on the serial port.
You will need this if you plan to transmit e.g. OSC messages via TCP/IP or the serial line.
There are three methods to install pd-slip on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pd-slip Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pd-slip using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install pd-slip using apt by running the following command:

Install pd-slip Using aptitude

sudo apt-get -y autoremove pd-slip
Remove pd-slip Configurations and Data
To remove pd-slip configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pd-slip
