In this tutorial we learn how to install pd-pan on Debian 12.

What is pd-pan

pd-pan is:

A library of stereo panning algorithms from various sources, including equal power panning and linear panning. Panning objects include: equal_power_pan~, gogins_pan~, gpan~, linear_pan~, square_root_pan~, and pan_core~. pan_core~ can be used as a “core” for objects that implement other pan algorithms. All of these objects are implemented in Pd.

There are three methods to install pd-pan on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install pd-pan Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install pd-pan using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install pd-pan

Install pd-pan Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install pd-pan using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install pd-pan

Install pd-pan Using aptitude
