How To Install pd-log on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install pd-log on Kali Linux.
What is pd-log
pd-log is:
This library adds objects to Pure Data (Pd) that allow one to create printout at various verbosity levels.
The objects can be used as drop-in replacement for the standard [print] object, but the printed messages can be filtered and have a colourful appearance.
There are three methods to install pd-log on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pd-log Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pd-log using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pd-logInstall pd-log Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pd-log using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pd-logInstall pd-log Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pd-log using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pd-logHow To Uninstall pd-log on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the pd-log package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pd-logUninstall pd-log And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pd-log and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pd-logRemove pd-log Configurations and Data
To remove pd-log configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pd-logRemove pd-log configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove pd-log configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge pd-logDependencies
