In this tutorial we learn how to install pcp-pmda-lio on CentOS 7.

What is pcp-pmda-lio

This package provides a PMDA to gather performance metrics from the kernels iSCSI target interface (LIO). The metrics are stored by LIO within the Linux kernels configfs filesystem. The PMDA provides per LUN level stats, and a summary instance per iSCSI target, which aggregates all LUN metrics within the target.

We can use yum or dnf to install pcp-pmda-lio on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install pcp-pmda-lio.

Install pcp-pmda-lio on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install pcp-pmda-lio using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install pcp-pmda-lio

Install pcp-pmda-lio on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install pcp-pmda-lio using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install pcp-pmda-lio

How To Uninstall pcp-pmda-lio on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the pcp-pmda-lio package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove pcp-pmda-lio
