What is pcp-doc
Documentation and tutorial for the Performance Co-Pilot Performance Co-Pilot (PCP) provides a framework and services to support system-level performance monitoring and performance management. The pcp-doc package provides useful information on using and configuring the Performance Co-Pilot (PCP) toolkit for system level performance management. It includes tutorials, HOWTOs, and other detailed documentation about the internals of core PCP utilities and daemons, and the PCP graphical tools.
We can use yum or dnf to install pcp-doc on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install pcp-doc.
Install pcp-doc on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install pcp-doc using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install pcp-doc
Install pcp-doc on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install pcp-doc using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install pcp-doc
How To Uninstall pcp-doc on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the pcp-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove pcp-doc
