What is pcl
The Point Cloud Library (or PCL) is a large scale, open project for point cloud processing. The PCL framework contains numerous state-of-the art algorithms including filtering, feature estimation, surface reconstruction, registration, model fitting and segmentation.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install pcl
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install pcl.
Install pcl on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install pcl
using yum

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
