How To Install pavucontrol on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install pavucontrol on Kali Linux.
What is pavucontrol
pavucontrol is:
PulseAudio Volume Control (pavucontrol) is a simple GTK+ based volume control tool (mixer) for the PulseAudio sound server. In contrast to classic mixer tools this one allows you to control both the volume of hardware devices and of each playback stream separately. It also allows you to redirect a playback stream to another output device without interrupting playback.
There are three methods to install pavucontrol on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pavucontrol Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pavucontrol using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pavucontrolInstall pavucontrol Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pavucontrol using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pavucontrolInstall pavucontrol Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pavucontrol using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pavucontrolHow To Uninstall pavucontrol on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the pavucontrol package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pavucontrolUninstall pavucontrol And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pavucontrol and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pavucontrolRemove pavucontrol Configurations and Data
To remove pavucontrol configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pavucontrolRemove pavucontrol configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove pavucontrol configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
