How To Install pathogen on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install pathogen on Kali Linux.
What is pathogen
pathogen is:
Pathogen Warrior is a puzzle game about matching 3D model structures with a 2D hexagon map. It was one of the entrants to the 4th Ludum Dare 48-hour game development competition. The theme of the competition was “Infection”. In Pathogen Warrior, the player’s task is to match rotating 3D pathogen structures with a 2D model using a hexagon map. The time to accomplish the task is limited, and after successfully completing one pathogen, the player is advanced to next level, which has a more challenging pathogen.
There are three methods to install pathogen on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pathogen Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pathogen using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pathogenInstall pathogen Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install pathogen using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pathogenInstall pathogen Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the pathogen package we can use the following command:

To uninstall pathogen and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pathogenRemove pathogen Configurations and Data
To remove pathogen configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pathogenRemove pathogen configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
