How To Install patchelf on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install patchelf on Kali Linux.
What is patchelf
patchelf is:
PatchELF is a simple utility for modifying existing ELF executables and libraries. In particular, it can do the following:
- Change the dynamic loader (“ELF interpreter”) of executables
- Change the RPATH of executables and libraries
- Remove declared dependencies on dynamic libraries (DT_NEEDED entries)
There are three methods to install patchelf on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install patchelf Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install patchelf using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install patchelfInstall patchelf Using apt
