How To Install pasmo on Debian 10

on Debian 10.
What is pasmo
pasmo is:
A Z80 assembler capable of generating object code in formats suitable for many Z80 machines and emulators. Pasmo generates fixed position code, can not be used to create relocatable object files for use with linkers. Pasmo is compatible with the syntax used in several old assemblers, by supporting several styles of numeric and string literals and by providing several names of the most used directives.
There are three methods to install pasmo
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pasmo Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pasmo
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pasmo

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install pasmo
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pasmo
Install pasmo Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install pasmo
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pasmo
How To Uninstall pasmo on Debian 10
To uninstall only the pasmo
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pasmo
Uninstall pasmo And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pasmo
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pasmo
Remove pasmo Configurations and Data
To remove pasmo
configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pasmo
