How To Install parsero on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install parsero on Kali Linux.
What is parsero
parsero is:
Parsero is a free script written in Python which reads the Robots.txt file of a web server and looks at the Disallow entries. The Disallow entries tell the search engines what directories or files hosted on a web server mustn’t be indexed. For example, “Disallow: /portal/login” means that the content on www.example.com/portal/login it’s not allowed to be indexed by crawlers like Google, Bing, Yahoo… This is the way the administrator have to not share sensitive or private information with the search engines.
There are three methods to install parsero on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install parsero Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install parsero using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install parseroInstall parsero Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install parsero using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install parseroInstall parsero Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install parsero using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install parseroHow To Uninstall parsero on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the parsero package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove parseroUninstall parsero And Its Dependencies
To uninstall parsero and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove parseroRemove parsero Configurations and Data
To remove parsero configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge parseroRemove parsero configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove parsero configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge parseroDependencies
