How To Install parmetis-test on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install parmetis-test on Kali Linux.
What is parmetis-test
parmetis-test is:
ParMetis computes minimal-cut partitions of graphs and meshes in parallel, and orders variables for minimal fill when using direct solvers for sparse matrices. It does all this in parallel, and also can efficiently re-partition a graph or mesh whose connectivity has changed.
This package contains programs which test the ParMetis libraries using files in the parmetis-doc package’s examples directory.
There are three methods to install parmetis-test on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install parmetis-test Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install parmetis-test using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install parmetis-testInstall parmetis-test Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install parmetis-test using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install parmetis-testInstall parmetis-test Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install parmetis-test using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install parmetis-testHow To Uninstall parmetis-test on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the parmetis-test package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove parmetis-testUninstall parmetis-test And Its Dependencies
To uninstall parmetis-test and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove parmetis-testRemove parmetis-test Configurations and Data
To remove parmetis-test configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge parmetis-testRemove parmetis-test configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove parmetis-test configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge parmetis-testDependencies
