How To Install parfait on CentOS 7

In this tutorial we learn how to install parfait
on CentOS 7.
What is parfait
Parfait is a Java performance monitoring library that exposes and collects metrics through a variety of outputs. It provides APIs for extracting performance metrics from the JVM and other sources. It interfaces to Performance Co-Pilot (PCP) using the Memory Mapped Value (MMV) machinery for extremely lightweight instrumentation.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install parfait
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install parfait.
Install parfait on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install parfait
using yum
by running the following command:
Install parfait on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
