How To Install paraview on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install paraview on Kali Linux.
What is paraview
paraview is:
ParaView is an open-source, multi-platform application designed to visualize data sets of size varying from small to very large. The goals of the ParaView project include the following:
* Develop an open-source, multi-platform visualization application.
* Support distributed computation models to process large data sets.
* Create an open, flexible, and intuitive user interface.
* Develop an extensible architecture based on open standards.
ParaView runs on distributed and shared memory parallel as well as single processor systems and has been successfully tested on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and various Unix workstations, clusters and supercomputers. Under the hood, ParaView uses the Visualization Toolkit as the data processing and rendering engine and has a user interface written using Qt.
There are three methods to install paraview on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install paraview Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install paraview using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install paraviewInstall paraview Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install paraview using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install paraviewInstall paraview Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install paraview using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install paraviewHow To Uninstall paraview on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the paraview package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove paraviewUninstall paraview And Its Dependencies
To uninstall paraview and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove paraviewRemove paraview Configurations and Data
To remove paraview configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge paraviewRemove paraview configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove paraview configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge paraviewDependencies
