How To Install pandoc-citeproc on Kali Linux

What is pandoc-citeproc
pandoc-citeproc is:
pandoc-citeproc is a Haskell implementation of the Citation Style Language (CSL).
This package also contains an executable: pandoc-citeproc, which works as a pandoc filter (pandoc >= 1.12), and also has a mode for converting bibliographic databases a YAML format suitable for inclusion in pandoc YAML metadata.
There are three methods to install pandoc-citeproc
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pandoc-citeproc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pandoc-citeproc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pandoc-citeproc
Install pandoc-citeproc Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install pandoc-citeproc
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pandoc-citeproc
Install pandoc-citeproc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install pandoc-citeproc
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pandoc-citeproc
How To Uninstall pandoc-citeproc on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the pandoc-citeproc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pandoc-citeproc
Uninstall pandoc-citeproc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pandoc-citeproc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pandoc-citeproc
Remove pandoc-citeproc Configurations and Data
To remove pandoc-citeproc
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pandoc-citeproc
Remove pandoc-citeproc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
