How To Install pan-config on Debian 12

on Debian 12.
What is pan-config
pan-config is:
This package provides the basic infrastructure of all pan-* packages and is needed by them.
These are the pan related metapackages in the PAN Blend project:
pan-coherent-diffraction: coherent diffraction software pan-control-systems: control systems pan-control-systems-dev: control system development packages pan-data-reduction-frameworks: data reduction frameworks pan-data-reduction-frameworks-dev: data reduction frameworks dev pan-diffraction: diffraction software suit pan-grazing-incidence: grazing incidence X-ray photon and neutron diffraction pan-imaging: imaging software pan-machine-learning: machine learning software pan-modelling: modeling software pan-mx: macro molecular diffraction pan-powder: powder diffraction pan-small-angle-scattering: small angle scattering pan-spectroscopy: X-Rays and Neutron spectroscopy pan-tomography: photons and neutrons (PAN) Blend tomography pan-xas: EXAFS and XANES
There are three methods to install pan-config
on Debian 12. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install pan-config Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install pan-config
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install pan-config
Install pan-config Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install pan-config
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install pan-config
Install pan-config Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install pan-config
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install pan-config
How To Uninstall pan-config on Debian 12
To uninstall only the pan-config
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove pan-config
Uninstall pan-config And Its Dependencies
To uninstall pan-config
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove pan-config
Remove pan-config Configurations and Data
To remove pan-config
configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge pan-config
Remove pan-config configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove pan-config
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge pan-config
