How To Install paml-doc on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install paml-doc on Kali Linux.
What is paml-doc
paml-doc is:
PAML is a package of programs for phylogenetic analyses of DNA or protein sequences using maximum likelihood. PAML is not good for tree making. It may be used to estimate parameters and test hypotheses to study the evolutionary process, when you have reconstructed trees using other programs such as PAUP*, PHYLIP, MOLPHY, PhyML, RaxML, etc.
The source code comes with a series of PDF files to help with further insights for the working of, and with, PAML.
There are three methods to install paml-doc on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install paml-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install paml-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install paml-docInstall paml-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install paml-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install paml-docInstall paml-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install paml-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install paml-docHow To Uninstall paml-doc on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the paml-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove paml-docUninstall paml-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall paml-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove paml-docRemove paml-doc Configurations and Data
To remove paml-doc configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge paml-docRemove paml-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
