How To Install owfs-dbg on Ubuntu 18.04

What is owfs-dbg
owfs-dbg is:
The 1-Wire bus is a cheap low-speed bus for devices like weather sensors, access control, etc. It can be attached to your system via serial, USB, I2C, and other interfaces.
This package was containing gdb debugging symbols for OWFS packages. Now, automatic -dbgsym packages are generated. Install them if you need to debug crashes in programs using 1-wire.
There are three methods to install owfs-dbg on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install owfs-dbg Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install owfs-dbg using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install owfs-dbg
Install owfs-dbg Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install owfs-dbg using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install owfs-dbg
Install owfs-dbg Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install owfs-dbg using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install owfs-dbg
How To Uninstall owfs-dbg on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the owfs-dbg package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove owfs-dbg
Uninstall owfs-dbg And Its Dependencies
To uninstall owfs-dbg and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove owfs-dbg
Remove owfs-dbg Configurations and Data
To remove owfs-dbg configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge owfs-dbg
Remove owfs-dbg configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove owfs-dbg configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge owfs-dbg
