How To Install otb-qgis on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install otb-qgis on Kali Linux.
What is otb-qgis
otb-qgis is:
ORFEO Toolbox (OTB) is distributed as an open source library of image processing algorithms. OTB is based on the medical image processing library ITK and offers particular functionalities for remote sensing image processing in general and for high spatial resolution images in particular.
This package contains the otbQgisDescriptor application.
There are three methods to install otb-qgis on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install otb-qgis Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install otb-qgis using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install otb-qgisInstall otb-qgis Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install otb-qgis using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the otb-qgis package we can use the following command:

To remove otb-qgis configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
