How To Install otb-bin on Debian 11

What is otb-bin
otb-bin is:
ORFEO Toolbox (OTB) is distributed as an open source library of image processing algorithms. OTB is based on the medical image processing library ITK and offers particular functionalities for remote sensing image processing in general and for high spatial resolution images in particular.
This package contains the command line application launcher than can run any OTB application provided by libotb-apps package.
There are three methods to install otb-bin
on Debian 11. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install otb-bin Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install otb-bin
using apt-get

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude

After updating apt database, We can install otb-bin
